Welcome to the Human Resources & Risk Management Website

We are pleased to provide you with information that outlines our current job openings, benefits, salaries and bargaining units. We encourage you to ask questions of the Human Resources staff if you need clarification on any of the information. Human Resources and Risk Management is responsible for recruitment, selection and retention, examination activities, employer-employee relations, classification and compensation administration, benefits administration, bargaining unit negotiations, performance appraisals/due process, discipline, grievances, personnel policies, regulations and procedures, staff training and development, worker’s compensation and leaves administration and a variety of payroll duties.
 

Change in Business Practices in Response to COVID19

Updated Employee Paid Time Off for COVID-19: 

On January 25, 2022, the Board of Supervisors approved 80 hours of COVID-19 Paid Sick Leave for any employees that meet the listed criteria. Please contact the Human Resources department if you have any questions involving the leave.

To apply for the leave, please fill out the COVID-19 Paid Sick Leave Request Form

Calaveras County Human Resources is open to the public and allowing one (1) person in the lobby at a time.  If you wish to make an appointment, please call (209) 754-6303, option 2. 

Whenever possible, we ask that you evaluate your information needs and consider whether it can be communicated via scan, fax, email, phone or other means (cell phone picture, etc.) that limits physical interactions.  

If you are experiencing any signs of illness, we ask that you stay home and conduct your
HR business electronically/telephonically to limit exposure.

Human Resources is taking extra precaution by sanitizing our office and lobby after every visitor.  All our staff follow CDC guidelines and safety protocols of regularly washing hands, sanitizing touch points, limited physical contact and staying home if they are unwell.
